The Katanas created by Bob Bertaut

WELCOME TO THE CREATIONS OF BOB BERTAUT

The Katanas pictured here are from the hands and mind of Bob Bertaut, an avid Suzuki enthusiast in the state of Louisiana. Bob specializes in the Suzuki GS series of motorcycles, to which the Katana is an esteemed member. The blue Katana pictured here is also featured in this recreated article written back in 1984. In the article it was stated that this Katana turned 10 second quarter mile times. After the article was written, Bob, along with the owner of the Katana decided to build even further. If you look closely, the head crowning the motor is from a GS1150. According to Bob, this baby has broken into the 8 second bracket (to settle a grudge against another racer)! The silver Katana is basically stock with smooth bore carburetors and an air shifter. I'm in the process of learning more about the silver Katana and the remaining Katana with the red pinstriping.
